This week we’re talking about why quality content matters on your social media feeds. I encourage everyone to stop and ask themselves one question before they hit ‘publish’ on a post, and that is “Would I want to consume this content?” More often than not, the answer is no!
I’ve noticed a lot of brands publishing content just for the sake of putting something online. They aren’t taking the time to be intentional about what they’re producing.
The key to getting people to listen to your message is to resonate with a user’s emotions. Make them laugh. Make them cry. Make them hungry. Make them happy. Make them uncomfortable (though this should be done very carefully). Or offer them some very useful information.
If you aren’t doing one of those things, why are you doing anything?
That’s why we’re very intentional in the video and photo content that we produce for our clients. We take our client’s message, and reshape it into something that’s appealing to a broad audience. We create something engaging that people want to see, but still find a way to clearly convey the intended message.
The goal of good social media should be to market to people without them realize it. And when they do realize it, they still love it. That’s what we call a win.
